About PODJECT
PODJECT is a project which aims to empower disadvantaged youth to use podcasts as a tool in their local contexts in order to increase their civic engagement and their participation in the democratic life, specifically in the processes of change and peacebuilding.
Partner organisations from Italy, Greece, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine will work on this objective, together with youth workers and young people who wish to be trained in the art of podcast creation.
Podium
is an innovative platform that will host all the podcasts created in the project (more than 200 podcasts) that will be available according to language and according to the themes. What is more it will host the PodTalks from renowned podcasters and PODebates, where young people can share their opinions about the themes discussed. This is the first platform specialised in hosting podcasts from disadvantaged and conflict- affected youth.

The Use of Podcast as Educational Tool
Podcasts offer a unique learning experience that combines audio storytelling, expert interviews, and in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics. Unlike traditional educational resources, such as textbooks or lectures, podcasts allow listeners to engage with content anytime and anywhere, fitting seamlessly into their busy schedules. Whether during a commute, workout, or household chores, podcasts enable learners to transform their “dead time” into valuable learning opportunities.
One of the greatest advantages of using podcasts as an educational tool is their accessibility. The proliferation of smartphones and the ease of podcast distribution platforms have made it effortless for anyone with an internet connection to access a vast array of educational podcasts. From science and history to language learning and personal development, there is a podcast to cater to almost every interest and educational need.
Moreover, podcasts offer a diverse range of perspectives and voices. Through interviews with experts, personal stories, and engaging narratives, podcasts expose learners to different viewpoints and allow them to explore complex subjects from multiple angles. This diversity of content not only promotes critical thinking but also fosters a sense of curiosity and intellectual exploration.
